Some links on this site earn us money. Here is exactly which, and what that does and does not buy.
What an affiliate link is
When you click a link to a provider and later buy a policy, the provider pays us a commission. The price you pay is the same either way. Links that earn commission carry the attributes sponsored and nofollow, and appear with a notice near the comparison.
What commission does not buy
- It does not change the order of a comparison, which follows cover quality for a typical tenant
- It does not buy a positive mention, or remove a criticism
- It does not give a provider sight of the article before publication
Where the money goes
Hosting, images and the time to keep the numbers current. This is a small site with one revenue line.
How to avoid it entirely
Search the provider's name directly, or use the insurer's own site. Everything in our guides stands on its own, and none of it requires you to click a commercial link.
Regulation
We are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority and we do not advise on insurance. Policies are sold by authorised insurers and brokers, and their terms, not ours, govern any cover you buy.
